Do birds like bright colored bird feeders

Brightly colored bird feeders would be a good idea to use in wintertime especially, as its a great way to maintain a visible feeder in dull, raining winter days.

Birds like the bird food available within confined bird feeders, yet to use bright colored bird feeders would be a sure fire way to grab wild birds attention early on. Vibrant colors can lighten up a bird feeder in a dark environment, and will be spotted sooner than a bird feeder finished in a neutral tone.

What with all types of bird feeders developed to help wild birds find them in our yards, this is done so with the use of a vibrant color theme.

Birds can seek out suspended bird feeders taking on a neutral tone with no problem at all, only a bright colored bird feeder can help to speed up the process of birds finding a new bird feeder recently hung out in the yard.

Bright colors can help distinguish a bird feeder in a yard that is always in the shade, like in a built up city neighborhood surrounded in high rise buildings.

Help birds quickly find your bird feeder by using a contrasting color theme against what will probably be a green environment.

For the record, a brightly colored bird feeder hanging within a vibrant garden landscape would have the opposite effect; in that the bird feeder will now become harder to notice.

One color that will guarantee the bird feeder will be notice in no time at all, is a white bird feeder - compact and confined, or an open platform - which is a vibrant color that stands out well against a dark landscape.

When you are unable to depend on a small compact suspended feeder, that is both colorful with possibly a reflective surface; why not put a mix of bird food on a platform bird feeder or tray, by using colorful bird food like white and red proso millet.

Birds like what is inside bird feeders, rather than the feeders themselves; utilize a mix of wild bird feed but use the feeders as a way to attract birds by color.

Birds attracted to bright colors

What is a great way to attract wild birds to a food or water source in your yard, would be use of a colorfully finished device that is both visible and accessible.

Birds can spot a bird feeder simply because it will stand out a some distance, as they pass overhead, or indeed perch in close proximity to it. Bird feeders that are painted or finished in vibrant colors, stand a better chance of being found, versus neutral tones.

What that means for you is to only utilize colorful bird feeders, although I will say there's no best color for bird feeders, as it would depend on your taste and needs only.

I would add though its better to hang a Hummingbird feeder in red, as its a reliable color Hummingbirds have come to recognize as a food source in our yards.

Birds like a bright colored bird feeder but remember its the food they want, thus its vitally important to at least provide a wide variety of bird feeder food.

While vibrant colors can help to draw wild birds' eyes to a suspended bird feeder, it must be said it really doesn't matter what color bird feeders are - in the end, a bird feeder will be found with or without a colorful theme.

Vibrant in dark environment

Why the color of a bird feeder matters above anything else is it will help to draw a birds attention to a device that is lit up like a Christmas tree.

Bird feeders can go unnoticed, and unused, until you've located your bird feeder in a sun lit up area - only there's no guarantee it can be seen still. Bird feeders can hang in a shaded or dark area of the yard, so its important to brighten up the feeders.

Heck, its not just your vibrant color bird feeders either as just white bird feeders would do well to grab the attention of wild birds.

Think about it for a minute, a bright-white bird feeder suspended down on the ground - when looking at it from a birds eye view - where it will appear as a white dot sitting among natural vegetation on the lawn, that is practically in darkness at certain times.

Same goes for any vibrant bird feeder like red or blue, although it must be said white would be more noticeable than any other color.

Bright colored bird feeders suspended or placed in the yard in an environment that is likely to be green and brown, is sure to be visible more than a brown or green bird feeder that are readily available on the market to buy.

Bird food liked more

While its important to attract wild birds to a bird feeder using color, what is more important is providing a balanced diet to a wide variety of birds in our yards; to do that you must prioritize a wide range of wild bird food in feeders.

And while its possible to pile bird food on top of an open platform bird feeder or pole mounted tray, none of these types of bird feeders are all that bright.

In which what we can do is provide a mix of bird feed on top of an open platform or tray, that is a mix of colors that can help to attract wild birds to the bird food itself, rather than overly depend on brightly colored bird feeders.

Of course your regular suet and peanuts aren't all that colorful and thus we must depend on a seed mixes.

Seed mixes can be a little dull on color but if we make up our own bird seed recipe, where we can freely add a mix of white millet or black sunflower seeds - which will all be in an effort to create a colorful food mix that is suppose to attract wild birds.

Birds find food in bird feeders by attending the bird feeder to investigate, only we can make sure they skip that by heading straight for the wild bird feed laid out to them in the elements, with no confined bird feeder holding them back.

Conclude

What's more important is that wild birds have no issues with brightly colored bird feeders, and can't be deterred from this food source simply because its highly visible.

In fact, a brightly colored bird feeder will help to attract wild birds to bird feeders, as the vibrant color can help the bird feeder jump out in the environment from where it resides.

Vibrant bird feeders is a guarantee its can't be in contrast to a equally colorful landscape, and thus the bird feeders are sure to be the only object in our yards that can draw the birds eye to what is essentially a wild bird feed device.

Birds will find bird feeders in a dull tone or if finished in a bright color; only a colorful bird feeder can help to attract wild birds to a new bird feeder in particular, a little faster.

Bird feeders this can refer to are hanging, small compact bird feeders that store seeds especially, but what about metal bird feeder trays or wooden platform feeders.

In which case we can maintain a black metal bird feeder tray or an unfinished cedar platform bird feeder, by just throwing bird feed on it.

Birds are sure to notice a mix of bird feed laid out in the elements while continuing to be visible to wild birds passing over the yard.

With that, I would suggest using a colorful seed mix which is sure to attract wild birds to a platform-type bird feeder.
